Plot Summary:Slave owner Warren Maxwell insists that his son, Hammond, who is busy bedding the slaves he buys, marry a white woman and father him a son. While in New Orleans, he picks up a wife, Blanche, a "bed wench," Ellen, and a Mandingo slave, Mede, whom he trains to be a bare-knuckle fighting champion. Angered that Hammond is spending too much time with his slaves, Blanche beds down Mede.

Mandingo fighting果然惡名不虛傳，對《亂世佳人》時代的再現也有觸碰到一些微妙的心理，黑人與白人都有，只可惜角色行為缺乏邏輯，Susan George飾演的妻子尤其浮誇腦殘得令人不解（應該是故意的吧？），直奔這個企圖say something的慘烈收尾而去，卻無法make sense。
